AURAK Enters into MOU with Green Bridge Group

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Green Bridge Group Contracting LLC this February to augment research and job opportunities for students.

Green Bridge Group is one of the leading construction companies in Dubai that provides Design and Build Contracting, Green Building Solutions, Interior Fit-Out Solutions, Manufacturing Solutions, and Project Management Solutions.

The Green Bridge and AURAK have agreed to share research, invite one and other to conferences and workshops of mutual interest, and help one another organize conferences and workshops.   The Green Bridge will also assist AURAK students with expertise and advice with their products, technology, and training towards the designing and building of a Zero Energy Building to enter into the 2018 Solar Decathlon Middle East.  The decathlon is an international competition created by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the Department of Energy of the United States; competitors design solar houses and adapt their designs to heat, dust, and high humidity.  The competition is based on architecture, engineering and construction, energy management, energy efficiency, comfort conditions, house functioning, sustainable transportation, sustainability, communication, and innovation.

The Green Bridge has agreed to provide AURAK students with internship opportunities, and the respective institutions plan on meeting three times a year to discuss expansion of this memorandum to benefit both establishments in the future.
