Biography

Dr. Ahmad Sakhrieh received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Friedrich-Alexander University, Germany in 2006. He also received his BSc and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan.

Dr. Sakhrieh joined the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE in fall 2015. Prior to that he was the chairman of the mechanical engineering department at the University of Jordan. Dr. Sakhrieh is the author and coauthor of more than 40 papers in international journals and conferences. Currently, Dr. Sakhrieh is the president of the Arab German Academy for Science and Humanities (AGYA).  He is a reviewer several for International Journals such as Applied Thermal Engineering, Energy Conversion & Management, Sustainable Cities and Society and Journal of Energy.

His research includes combustion, energy and renewable energy, emission, gas engines, solar cooling, solar ponds and diesel engine exhaust gas reduction using limestone.
