AURAK is an accredited member of AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
AACSB accreditation is known, worldwide, as the longest-standing, most recognized form of specialized accreditation that an institution and its business programs can earn. Accreditation is a voluntary, nongovernmental process that includes a rigorous external review of a school's mission, faculty qualifications, curricula, and ability to provide the highest-quality programs.
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is widely regarded as the premier global authority in management and leadership certification. Established in the United Kingdom by Royal Charter in 1947, CMI provides significant recognition for management professionals.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an accredited CMI center, enabling students to earn CMI certification upon graduation without additional coursework. Eligible students will receive a Level 5 Management and Leadership Certification, while graduate students will receive a Level 7 Management and Leadership Certification. Graduates can further be eligible for full Chartered Manager Status after completing a specified period of work.

Welcome to the School of Business at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), a world-class business school focused on producing highly employable graduates and competent business leaders. The School of Business is proud to be accredited by AACSB International, a distinction earned by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide, placing us among an elite group recognized for excellence in teaching, thought-leadership research, and meaningful economic and societal impact. It reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and student-centered learning.
Our strength comes from being a public, non-profit, co-educational, and global institution built on values of integrity, inclusivity, and excellence. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with six majors: Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Hospitality and Tourism Management. At the graduate level, our MBA and Executive MBA programs are designed to strengthen leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and career advancement for professionals and executives. All our programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, underscoring their academic quality and national recognition. Our school is also proud of its discipline-specific achievements. The Accounting and Finance majors are accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the Finance major is part of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) University Affiliation Program, ensuring that our curriculum aligns with globally recognized professional standards.
The AURAK Center for Entrepreneurship, housed within the school, is a hub of incubation and innovation. It is dedicated to helping students turn business ideas into successful ventures, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset that contributes to job creation and economic development. Our faculty members are accomplished scholars, practitioners, and mentors who bring a wealth of international experience and academic expertise to the classroom.

The School of Business advisory council provides external advice to the school regarding priorities and directions for business education, research and service of faculty and students. It provides valuable assistance to the school in developing and achieving its strategic goals.
The council also assists in promoting the school to potential students, employers, legislative leaders, governmental agencies, and industry. Discussions are held on school goals, educational trends, development and capital campaigns, employment opportunities, research opportunities, budgets, enrollments, degrees produced, and other related topics. Members of the council also provide support throughout the year for many of the school’s specific initiatives and programs.
