Building your professional network – Architecture Alumni online event: Dr. Fathia Elmenghawi, The School of Engineering

“Hey, great to see you!” “Where are you now?” “Who are you working for?” “Wow that’s great news.” “Congratulations.” Networking at its best, Architecture program alumni engaged in a stimulating discussion on contemporary topics in the field of architecture and building design.

In today’s highly competitive jobs’ market the Department of Architecture understands the importance of building a wide network of contacts in order to keep abreast of sector trends and be aware of opportunities.  Architecture program alumni exchanged ideas and discussed opportunities as well as their academic experiences at AURAK, their current career paths and opportunities for career progression.  AURAK professors were delighted to hear about the successes of the graduates who have gained positions in companies including Denholm Yam, Abu Dhabi, Firas Engineering Consultancy, Abu Dhabi and Abdul Samad Al Qurashi, Dubai

The Architecture program began in 2014 and so far two classes have graduated with the commencement ceremony for the third currently being planned.  The program was recently granted renewed accreditation from the Commission for Academic Advancement of the Ministry of Education, UAE and is currently working towards international accreditation from the US National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB).
