AURAK actively engages with employers in local industry to identify mutually beneficial internship opportunities and to connect employers, with vacancies within their organizations, to high quality graduating students who have the skills the employer needs. Mutually Beneficial Internship Opportunities

AURAK works with a number of internship partners such as the Investment and Development Office (IDO), Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Ras Al Khaimah Airport, Government of Ras Al Khaimah, Ras Al Khaimah Courts, Government of Ras Al Khaimah, and International Engineering Center, Ras Al Khaimah.  These organizations provide excellent experience for the students and benefit from the interaction – even identifying potential employees for the future.

Potential Employees with the Key Skills Needed in Employment

AURAK offers online career preparation training for Alumni and Students in partnership with Education for Employment. This training prepares graduates with advanced soft skills such as communications, and self-confidence, and provides opportunities for enhancement of skills, such as mathematical reasoning, through customized online activities.  This means that when our students join an employer they have the skills you need.

Supporting Employers Find the Right Employees with the Right Skills

In addition to preparing graduates to enter the workplace with key skills, AURAK also assists employers in finding employees with the right skills for vacancies.  As an example, our Office of Institutional Advancement collaborated with the Al Hamra Group identify Emirati Engineers among AURAK’s Alumni for positions with Steven Rock and RAK Ports. As a result, the Office was able to source a number of qualified individuals for consideration by the respective employers making their recruitment search quicker and more streamlined.

In support of industry and the AURAK students, the Office of Institutional Advancement has begun to advertise vacancies through an online portal accessed by our Alumni.  This makes it much easier for these potential employees to see the vacancies available within Ras Al Khaimah and beyond.
