Office of Institutional Advancement Employing an AURAK Graduate: An Employer’s Experience of a Master of Education Graduate

Mr. Khalid Al Shehi the Education Council Manager, School Operation Department graciously agreed to answer a few questions about how one of his employee’s studies at AURAK added value in the workplace.

About AURAK’s Student: Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri

Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri, graduated from AURAK with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEEL) in 2017. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, KSA.  He is currently the Lead Principal of Al Rams Public Schools District, Khatt Public Schools District, Adhan Public Schools District, Al Ghail Public Schools District and Falaj Al Mu’alla Public Schools District at the Ministry of Education (MOE).  In addition, he has been serving as a facilitator and coach for professional development programs for RAK educators at the Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi Foundation for Policy Research, for the past ten years.

Mr. Al Khadri is a highly distinguished AURAK graduate, with over 26 years’ experience in education in the UAE.  During his time in the MEEL Program, he was able to deepen his leadership and coaching skills, and enhance his research skills, specifically in the fields that are closest to his heart and his life – school and education reform in the UAE.

How have Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri’s post-graduate studies benefitted the employer?

The Ministry of Education benefited a lot from Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri as he transferred his great experiences to school leaderships and management and proposed some wonderful initiatives in the educational field.

Do you feel Mr. Al Kadri’s studies aided him in facing the dynamic challenges in the field of education? If yes, how?

Yes, the study of Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri supported him strongly in facing any challenges by doing the necessary preparation to overcome any obstacles. In addition, he applies some leadership strategies and practical theories, and he shows a great willingness to embrace change.

Did Mr. Al Khadri’s studies at AURAK deepen his understanding of how a curriculum is properly structured and delivered on a large scale, for example, across many schools?

The study of Mr. Atif Mohammad Al Kadri helped to deepen the understanding of the curriculum and the tools for its implementation and its adaptation for future requirements.
