Sponsored Programs Office
The Sponsored Programs Office (SPO) supports AURAK faculty and staff in the acquisition, performance, and administration of externally funded projects and programs. It contributes to AURAK’s development as the premier academic research center in the Northern Emirates.
Sponsored Programs Office responsibilities include:
- Assisting AURAK’s faculty in identifying funding sources and writing grant proposals and writing budgets.
- Reviewing and submission of proposals.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Disseminating research policy information through publications and other communications.
- Developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
- Overseeing and advising on financial management of sponsored projects, including financial reporting, cash management, accounts receivable, effort reporting, expense reporting, and monitoring of cost-share arrangements.
- Addressing issues that arise during the lifecycle of a sponsored project.
- Coordinating award close-out process.
- Providing educational and professional development opportunities.
