AURAK is delighted to announce, that for the second year in a row, The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Chapter at AURAK has been selected to receive a Letter of Honorable Mention in recognition of the Chapter’s outstanding activities in 2020. The Letter of Honorable Mention is reserved for the top third of student organizations and is testament to the dedication and passion of the faculty advisor, Dr. Fayez Moutassem and the student officers and members.
President of AURAK, Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim remarked upon this being an achievement that demonstrates another chapter in the continued success of AURAK which makes every member of the AURAK family proud. This sentiment is very much reflected by Dr. Hamed Assaf, Dean of the School of Engineering who said “I am delighted for such a significant achievement and proud of the chapter’s outstanding efforts in raising the international profile of the Department of Civil and Infrastructural Engineering, the School of Engineering and AURAK”.
