“Esaad Dubai Police” and “American University of Ras Al Khaimah” sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) and Esaad Card Committee, Dubai Police General Headquarters, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation which includes AURAK in the “Esaad” card program. The agreement presented a special opportunity for all cardholders who are now offered various discounts for all graduate and undergraduate programs available at AURAK.

In his capacity as the President of AURAK, Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim signed the Memorandum of Cooperation alongside the signatory, Mrs. Mona Al Amri, Chairman of Esaad Card Committee, in the presence of Lieutenant Colonel Massoud AlHammad, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Zakaria Seif, Committee’s Head of the Educational Sector, Mr. Sami Baraka, Vice President of Operational Excellence and Financial Management at AURAK, Dr. Mohamed Al Zarooni, Associate Provost for Research and Community Service, AURAK. The signing ceremony was also attended by a number of employees from both respective institutions.

The main provision of the Memorandum of Cooperation is that AURAK will be offering Esaad cardholders as well as their first-degree relatives, an exclusive discount of 20% for new joiners and 10% for our continuing students. The offer will be applicable for all undergraduate and graduate academic programs offered by the university, starting from the academic year 2022/2023.

Mrs. Mona Al Amri highlighted that education is one of the committee’s priorities is to provide cardholders and their families quality education at reduced prices. Al Amri also added, “Signing this memorandum and having a prestigious university as AURAK in our Esaad program is a distinct addition.” She proceeded to thank the university for their interest in joining the program and pointed out that the Esaad Card Committee is honored to partner with AURAK to strengthen the partnership through further cooperation and joint initiatives.

Professor Hassan Al Alkim stressed the importance of this agreement that will provide educational opportunities for students and bring prosperity and progress to the country.

Prof. Al Alkim added: “The American University of Ras Al Khaimah is always keen to strengthen its partnerships with public and private sectors in order to achieve academic and educational excellence that meets the community’s and concerned authorities’ requirements. Through which we prepare a generation that possesses distinguished scientific and practical expertise as well as competencies in various technical and administrative fields allowing them to contribute in enhancing the development process and the quality of life in the country.”

Prof. Al Alkim pointed out, “AURAK offers 28 nationally and internationally accredited bachelor and master programs in Engineering, Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, and the university has succeeded in attracting students from 52 different countries around the world.” The accreditations and classifications that AURAK has been obtained included the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges “SACSCOC” in December 2018 and the 5-star rating from the “QS” international institution specialized in university rankings as well as ranking withing the top 50 in the MENA region.

The president further expressed his gratitude for the committee’s efforts in their relentless pursuit to expand the horizons of cooperation with the educational and academic sectors in the UAE.
