Huawei Holds 5G Presentation at AURAK

Huawei held a workshop on 5G technology at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK).

An expert from the Chinese tech giant shared insights into 5G industry trends, services, and the uses of the technology.

Fifth-generation mobile network technology (5G) can support more devices per square kilometer and provide much faster mobile internet speeds, wider coverage and more stable connections.

The presentation was an opportunity to hear about this key technology that will affect everyone from one of the leaders in 5G.

Huawei is a Chinese multinational IT giant that produces smartphones, consumer electronics, telecoms and networking equipment.

AURAK is the first educational institution in the UAE to sign a deal with Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology infrastructure and smart devices with integrated solutions across four key domains of telecom networks, IT, smart devices, and cloud services. Huawei is to donate equipment to AURAK to set up the first Huawei ICT Academy in the United Arab Emirates.

AURAK is a nonprofit, government-owned institution of higher education which provides the local, regional and international communities with a North American-style education integrated with Arab customs and traditions. AURAK is licensed by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates and has been accredited in the United States of America by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) since December 2018. AURAK offers a total of 22 accredited undergraduate and graduate programs across a wide range of disciplines.
