AURAK Signs MoU with RAK Precast

The American University or Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RAK Precast, a firm based in Jazeera Al Hamra which specializes in the production of architectural and structural precast concrete.
The two entities have formalized their relationship, due to their mutual goals and desire to cooperate in research and human capacity building. Both parties are committed to further research in the areas of precast production systems, energy and water conservation, and socioeconomic and policy analysis related to precast concrete production.
The new relationship will also see cooperation in the exchange of information. After signing the MoU, Mr. Emad Abdullah, CEO of RAK Precast, delivered a lecture to the University’s architecture and civil engineering students, explaining to them what his company does and how it’s related to their areas of study. Students will also be provided with internship and training opportunities at RAK Precast.
The agreement was signed by Professor Hassan Al Alkim, President of AURAK, and Mr. Emad Abdullah, CEO of RAK Precast.
Commenting on the agreement, Professor Al Alkim stated, “Certainly we are very happy with this new relationship with RAK Precast. It is a part of our academic vision and commitment to build a promising future for our students through forming relationships with those companies working in areas aligned with university programs. This arrangement will contribute to refining the academic abilities and skills of our civil engineering students through practical experience, making them more competitive in the job market.”
