The fair was officially opened this morning by Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, President of AURAK, who stated, “This initiative represents an excellent opportunity for employers and potential employees to network and connect.”

With employers from both public and private-sector institutions on the lookout for the next generation of bright, young minds, Prof. Al Alkim encouraged students and alumni to be open-minded and flexible when applying for full-time jobs, as well as internship opportunities.

The AURAK President also had a message for the participating employers at the job fair, emphasizing on the quality of the students who graduate from the University: “At AURAK, we take great pride in our undergraduate and graduate programs, distinguished professors, and reputation for academic excellence.  Learning here is an active, hands-on experience because we know that making a difference is vital to the college experience and the rest of the student’s life.”

The first day of the event saw more than 2,000 people drop by to meet employers and submit CVs.
