AURAK Signs MoU with University of Dubai

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) has further expanded its network of local partners today, after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Dubai (UD).
The collaboration will between the two entities supports the UAE Vision 2021 initiative, particularly in terms of further enriching its highly-educated and skilled workforce to address fundamental regional industry-relevant research problems. The agreement states that AURAK and UD will work together in key areas such as research and business development, human capital development and community services through the sharing of human capital resources.
Professor Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, met Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, President of AURAK, with the two parties putting pen to paper at an official signing ceremony in the Building G conference room.
Professor Al Alkim, speaking at the ceremony, commented, “We already have a strong ties with Professor Eesa and the University of Dubai. As a result, formalizing our relationship through this agreement comes as no surprise. We are delighted that the University of Dubai are now our official partners, and I am sure that this alliance will be highly rewarding for both parties.”
AURAK and UD have already collaborated extensively in the past: Professor Eesa Bastaki was a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Energy, Water & Environmental Sciences (ICEWES), hosted by AURAK in December, while he is also on the advisory board of AURAK’s School of Engineering.
