Dr Atif Saleem Butt is an Associate Professor at the School of Business, American University of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. He obtained PhD from Monash University, Australia in 2016. Atif has a diversified teaching portfolio, having taught classes in Australia, China and the United Arab Emirates. Atif is an interdisciplinary researcher. His research interest lies in behavioural supply chains, buyer-supplier relationship, circular economy and knowledge management. As an early career researcher, he has established an impressive research record with over 41 publications, including 17 articles as a sole author. Most of his work has appeared in Q1 and Q2 ranked journals. For instance, his work has appeared in the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Benchmarking: an International Journal, Service Industries Journal, Journal of Knowledge Management, Personnel Review, Asian Business and Management Journal, Total Quality Management and Business Excellence and Information Technology and Development, to name a few. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Knowledge and Process Management Journal and an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Environmental Sciences – Environmental Economics and Management.
Atif was awarded Faculty Postgraduate Research Scholarship (FPRS) by Monash University, Australia (world’s top 100 universities) in 2012. He obtained PhD in Management in 2016 from Monash Business School with minor corrections. His thesis explored the role of personal relationships within buyer-supplier relationships in the supply chain context.
