Dr. Khodr holds a Bsc and Msc degrees in physics from Kuwait University and Ms and Ph.D in Engineering from Oklahoma University. He has worked in several international companies including Halliburton and Motorola before returning to Middle East region. Since 2001, he has worked in several universities in the region, established and developed several higher education engineering departments and currently he is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in United Arab Emirates. As a consultant, he provides training to higher education faculty and school teachers on using technology tools in their classrooms to better implement technology based learning methodologies.

His work and research interests are in three areas; designing nanotechnology infra-red lasers for breath analysis diagnostic systems; quantum cryptography for network security; and developing technology tools for engineering education.
