Dr. Mwafak Shakoor earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, USA in 2006, MS degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2002 and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan in 1989. Dr. Shakoor joined AURAK in Fall 2016 and prior to that, he was the chairman of Industrial Engineering Department at King Khalid University. Also, he worked at the Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE and the American University of Madaba, Jordan. Before obtaining his PhD and MS, Dr. Shakoor worked as a consultant engineer and a maintenance engineer in Jordan. His research interests are fatigue life investigation, lean manufacturing, simulation and modeling and operations research.
