Dr. Sara Faiz Hanna Tasfy received her PhD and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia in 2016. B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Gizera, Sudan 2008. Prior to starting PhD, Dr. Sara was a lecturer at the chemical Engineering department, University of Science and Technology, Sudan. She tough several courses and supervise many projects.

Following Dr. Sara joined the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS as graduate research assistant where she was involved in many research projects involving other collaborating universities and industry partners. She obtained the First Place in Micrograph Competition within the physical science category at SCMSM 2014, silver medal regarding her invention of high preformed catalyst for the utilization of carbon dioxide and the best paper and presentation award at ICCDUCE 2017. Furthermore, Dr. Sara has three registered patent for her innovative research work.

Her research interests include but not limited to nanomaterial, catalysis, hydrogenation of carbon dioxide, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, methanol synthesis, fluid thermal conductivity, and reactor design.
