Melissa Winter currently serves as the Manager for Student Life, at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah. Prior to assuming this position, she served in Qatar with both the Qatar Foundation as the Associate Director for Student Engagement Programs and later at Qatar University as a Consultant for the Vice President of Student Affairs Office. Prior to working in Qatar, she has also held roles at Kansas State University, Watkins College of Art & Design and Case Western Reserve University.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, USA and her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration-Student Personnel from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, USA. Melissa’s service to the higher education community has included volunteer leadership roles with the Association of College Unions International at both the National and Regional levels and the National Association of Campus Activities. Her passion within Higher Education is in igniting student engagement and improving campus environments through campus programs and culture.
