Professor Moayyad Al-Nasra received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering in 1992 from Old Dominion University, Virginia-USA. He taught several graduate and undergraduate courses in the area of civil and structural engineering in the USA prior joining the American University of Ras Al Khaimah. Dr. Al-Nasra published over 75 articles including books, and research papers. His research interest includes construction materials, finite element modeling, solid mechanics, and erosion and sedimentation control. Received several awards related to teaching, publication, and management. Professor Al-Nasra established successful consulting firm in the USA focusing on forensic engineering. He is certified professional engineer in several states including Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia.
