Saqr library is an academic library with a basic collection of library materials such as books, ebooks, periodicals (print and electronic), references, and electronic journals and databases to support the instructional programs, and educational goals of the university. The Library collections are mainly in English although there are items in other languages. Saqr Library is a place conducive to learning; it is well organized, following international information and library standards in work such the Library of Congress Classification Scheme (LC) and the Anglo American Cataloging Rules (AACR2), etc. It is air-conditioned, and well lit. The security of library collections is ensured through CCTV cameras, which monitor reading areas and the computer lab. Exit controls are installed at the entrance and exit to the library with an RFID security alarm system.
Saqr Library is located on the ground floor of Building A. Within its 5,350 square feet, exist the stacks, a reading area, staff working areas, and a computer laboratory for library applications. The reading area is spacious; it includes 16 individual study rooms, 2 group study rooms with a total of 12 seating capacity, a conference room that can accommodate 13 persons, and a Library Computer Laboratory with twelve workstations. The library has a total seating capacity for one hundred and sixty (160) visitors.
