| LIBRARY COLLECTION
The library collection consists of many different types of library materials and information sources either in print or electronic formats. Saqr Library houses a wide range of relevant materials including reference sources, periodicals, multimedia presentations, and electronic databases.
Books. The book collection covers all subjects and supports all programs offered by AURAK. The Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System for shelf arrangement. Stack signs indicate call number ranges and general subject areas for the book collection.
Electronic Resources: These are collections of ebooks and ejournals that can be searched, downloaded, and printed from the subscribed library databases such as EBSCO Academic Search Complete, EBSCO Ebooks Collection, Springerlink for Springer journals and Springer ebooks., ProQuest ABI/ Telecommunications, Euromonitor, ERIC, etc.
Periodicals. The library subscribes to a collection of international refereed periodicals to support the current AURAK academic programs. Currently, the library has a thousand of bound volumes of periodicals.
Reserves. Reserves are mainly textbooks, class reading assignments and materials temporarily placed on limited circulation by faculty for student use.
Reference Collection. Reference Collection includes standard collection of reference books (such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, annuals or yearbooks, etc.), to satisfy the basic information needs of the users.
Leisure Reading collection. These are collection of basic, classical fiction and non-fiction titles, acquired as supplements to the English language program as well as provide leisure reading for the academic programs, faculty and staff.
