Mission Statement
AURAK’s academic advising program will assist all students to transition to university life and support their progression through their academic career to successful completion of their degree program. Advising will follow North American standards while retaining sensitivity to the region’s multicultural and global environment. Advising will allow students to meet their educational and lifelong learning goals.
Message from the Advising Coordinator
Welcome to AURAK’s advising webpage. In its dedication to student success, AURAK has created an advising coordinator position to assist in the campus wide delivery of advising. This webpage has a link to the NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) website which contains information resources relevant to the delivery of academic advising services. As this webpage develops it will contain links to advising plans for General Education and all major program curriculum plans. This information is arranged in an easy to access and understand format that will benefit advisors and students alike. When checking curriculum plans, please ensure that the year on the plan corresponds to the year in which the student enrolled at AURAK. In time, it is planned that this page will host much information regarding academic advising in general and how it will be practiced at AURAK.
