Dr. Suzana Zdravkovska

Dr. Suzana Dzamtoska-Zdravkovska joined the American University of Ras Al Khaimah in fall 2017. She is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Mass Communication Program (Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Arts and Sciences). She has 13 years of academic experience at universities in North Macedonia (State University “Goce Delcev”) and the UAE (University of Sharjah; AURAK) , teaching a variety of courses related to Journalism, Public Relations, Communication, Communication Management, Mass Media, and Mass Communication. Dr. Suzana has more than 17 years of professional media experience as a journalist, public relations advisor, and spokesperson of the Ministry of Education and Science of North Macedonia. She is the beneficiary of a Research scholarship from the European Commission, JoinEU-SEE – Erasmus Mundus partnership, at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. She is an active researcher and has published a significant number of scientific papers in international journals (indexed in SCOPUS, EBSCO Publishing Database, Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL), Index Copernicus International, ICI, etc.); as well as in the proceedings of international academic conferences. Dr. Suzana is the author and co-author of five peer-reviewed books and university textbooks in Macedonian and English, as well as a book chapter in Handbook of research on global perspectives on international advertising (IGI Global).
