Internships are an integral part of our educational programs. In fact, one of the requirements of graduating from AURAK is to complete two 8-week internships in your field of study. The university offers the facility to place students in one of our partner companies or organization all across the UAE. This requirement allows the students to graduate with 16 weeks of practical experience, making them better equipped to face any challenges that might face them in the job market.

EMBA program requires 5 years of experience for the student to be accepted, as for the masters the evaluation is done by the faculty of the school concerned. What happens if I fail to maintain my gpa for scholarships?

Unfortunately, when the student fails to maintain the required CGPA, the student loses the scholarship. However, if the student raised their CGPA in the next semester, they can apply for continuing student scholarships.

Do i have to do an exam to get accepted?

The university requires no entry exams, however, the student is required to take a Mathematics placement test to assess their level in mathematics, for our admissions team to register them in the suitable mathematics course according to their grade in this test.

Also, if the student has no English Proficiency Certificate (is conditionally accepted), they are required to do an English Placement Test.

The placement test does not determine acceptance into the university and is held after the student is fully enrolled.

Do I still have to do an English test if I am an English native speaker/studied in English curriculum schools?

The English Proficiency Exam is an admission requirement from the MOE, and since AURAK is accredited from the MOE, we do require from the student to present an English Proficiency Certificate.

The minimum IELTS score required for full admissions is 5.0.

For the English Proficiency, the student can take any of EmSAT English/IELTS-Academic/ TOEFL*

However, a conditional admission offer can be granted on the condition that the above English proficiency requirement is fulfilled within the first semester.

How do I achieve the 70% scholarship?

For the student to be eligible to apply for the 70% merit-based scholarship, the student must achieve 99% or above in their high school percentage and IELTS score of 7.0 (or equivalent in TOEFL/EmSAT).

Can I transfer credits from another university to AURAK?

Yes, you can apply as a transfer student, as for the credit hour transfer from your university, the admissions team will have to review the official transcript first and the course syllabus for each completed course, then based on that they can evaluate which credit hours will be transferred. To be eligible for credit transfer, the university that the student studied in has to be accredited from MOE.

Classes are on campus for graduate programs, except for EMBA, which is a hybrid program with 50% on campus attendance and 50% online.

What’s better AI or Computer Science?

Both programs are 4-year programs with each year consisting of two semesters, they are both accredited nationally and internationally, as they are under the school of engineering. At the end of the day, the choice of major depends on the student’s preferences and interests. For instance, if the student is interested in programming and designing applications, they would go for BS in Computer Science, but if they are interested in machine learning and robotics, then BS in Artificial Intelligence is the right choice.
