My AURAK Experience

I was born in Sudan and have lived in the UAE for over 20 years. I work for Grant Thornton UAE as an Advisory Manager and the Global Deputy Head of Islamic Finance. I oversee a portfolio of Financial Services and Government clients. On a professional level, my biggest achievement is successfully completing a national-level project with a leading regulator around Islamic Finance and prudential frameworks. I’ve been blessed with an outstanding support system. My beloved wife, parents, siblings, in-laws and friends who supported me throughout the journey and my colleague Samer Hijazi who I consider a mentor. AURAK has been nothing short of a memorable journey academically and personally, lifetime lessons and friendships that I will always cherish. The city of Ras Al Khaimah continues to be home away from home, due to the unforgettable journey at AURAK.
