5th meeting of the School of Business Advisory Council
The School of Business held its fifth Advisory Council meeting. The council is chaired by Dr. Khaled Al Khazraji and included Mr. Mohamed Al Sabab, Director General of RAK Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ahmed Obaid AI Tenaiji, Director General, Ras AI Khaimah Department of Economic Development, Mr. Ahmed Ali Anoon Alnuaimi,
The School of Business held its fifth Advisory Council meeting. The council is chaired by Dr. Khaled Al Khazraji and included Mr. Mohamed Al Sabab, Director General of RAK Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ahmed Obaid AI Tenaiji, Director General, Ras AI Khaimah Department of Economic Development, Mr. Ahmed Ali Anoon Alnuaimi, General Manager of RAK Cement and Mr. Badr Matar Al Suwaidi, Branch Manager of Dubai Islamic Bank at Umm al-Quwain. The meeting was attended by Prof. Hassan Hamdan Alkim, President of AURAK, Provost John Ryder, Dr. Anthony Ayoola, Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Farooq Khan, Associate Dean, Dr. Mukdad Ibrahim, Chair of Accounting & Finance and Dr. Zahi Yaseen, Chair of Management.
The Chair of the Committee, Dr. Al Khazraji, emphasized the importance of the role of the Council in helping to shape and develop AURAK’s Business School, through the provision of relevant advice. The Council members have a wealth of experience and are keen to leverage this for the benefit of the university.
Council members lauded the Business School plans for increased outreach to the local community, through its provision of consultancy, training and applied research. They also commended the school on its collaboration initiatives with other institutions in the U.S. and Europe.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an independent co-education institution of Higher Education that provides an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education with a strong focus on local indigenous culture. The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research accredit all of AURAK’s programs.
