AURAK in collaboration with Orient Insurance hosted a career session for students and alumni

One of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah’s (AURAK) top priorities is to help secure job placements and internships for the University’s students and alumni. As a result, the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) at the university recently hosted a career corner session in collaboration with Orient Insurance.

The OIA partnership with Orient Insurance resulted in the launch of the “Career Corner” initiative, which allows AURAK students and alumni to explore employment and internship opportunities at a leading company and strengthen their network with the company and its potential employers.

The session was opened with a welcome speech presented by Dr. Mohamed Al Zarooni, Associate Provost for Research and Community Service and Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering.

Dr. Al Zarooni noted that this collaboration aims to help AURAK students and alumni prepare for the global job market, teach them to face challenges and overcome career obstacles by exposing them to a real-life work environment.

The session was led by Mr. Rany Abdel-Karim, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Orient Insurance, who provided the students with an overview of himself and the company and shared information about the current career market and available job opportunities at his company.

At the end of the session, students and graduates had the opportunity to apply for available opportunities at the company.
