AURAK Student wins award at the 3rd Annual Conference on Global Warming
The Third International Conference on Global Warming: Food Security was held at Al Hamra Convention Center in Ras Al Khaimah. Six AURAK students, under the supervision of Dr. Irshad Ahmad, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, submitted their work to the conference.

Six AURAK students, under the supervision of Dr. Irshad Ahmad, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, submitted their work to the conference. Mr. Muhammed Imran, a student majoring in Chemical Engineering, received the best poster presentation award for his poster “The Effect of Carbon Dioxide on Global Warming.” In addition, Mr. Ferdinand Ledesma Calangi, Mr. Hamad Alzaabi, Ms. Najath Abdul Kareem, Ms. Nada Amjad Anwar, Mr. Reggy Ridwan, and two AURAK professors, Dr. Larry D. Griffin and Dr. Shagufta Waseem, presented posters at the conference.
Attendees and participants in the conference enjoyed lectures from both American academics and AURAK professors, including Dr. Abelmajid Kassem, Dr. Muhammed Mukhtar and Dr. Irshad Ahmad. Professor Anwar Huq of the University of Maryland highlighted publicly the quality of research work and the talent of AURAK students.
