The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) Student Life Department and AURAK students expressed their gratitude to senior citizens on October 1 by visiting the inhabitants of Sharjah Old People's Home to mark International Day of Older Persons.

The International Day of Older Persons was established to honor the contributions and sacrifices that senior citizens around the world have made to society.

The theme of 2019’s UN International Day of Older Persons - “The Journey to Age Equality” - focused on ways of coping with existing and preventing future old age inequality.
