AURAK welcomes banking giant RAK Bank to career workshop

American University of Ras Al Khaimah recently welcomed RAK Bank to its campus. Representatives introduced AURAK students and alumni to RAK Bank, its future employment goals and what it looks for in new hires.

The University’s Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) organized the career corner session dedicated to assisting students and graduates in discovering suitable professions, getting referrals to companies and improving their networking skills.

Professor Khalid Hussain, Dean of the School of Engineering, delivered the welcome address and stated that the collaboration between AURAK and companies locally and internationally aims to encourage students and graduates to engage with the job market, which helps shape the University’s programs and bring the latest technologies and projects to the campus enhancing the student’s learning experience.

The workshop featured three presentations by RAK Bank experts covering essential topics such as the demand for qualified data scientists in the banking industry, RAK Bank’s strategy for the future and the need for Fintech professionals at RAK Bank.

RAK Bank’s experts who delivered the presentations included: Mr. Sultan Khalifa Al Ali, Head of Digital Learning; Mr. Ramzi Aissa, Director of Business Performance and Strategic Analytics; Mr. Saket Saith, Chief Technology Officer; Tabrez Sheikh, Head of IT Governance and Transformation; and Tapas Kumar Mondal, Head of Architecture.
