Delegates from Abu Dhabi Quality Conformity Council visit the RAK Research and Innovation Center
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Director of Product conformity and Dr. Simon Miller, Specialist- Product Conformity from Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) visited RAK Research and Innovation Center (RAKRIC).
Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Director of Product conformity and Dr. Simon Miller, Specialist- Product Conformity from Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) visited RAK Research and Innovation Center (RAKRIC). The visit started by the Lab tour followed by presentation about the center and discussion for ways to collaborate. Both parties showed their willingness to work together. As the initial discussion, ADQCC would soon plant to launch the certification program for qualification of Solar Reflective coating, based on the green building legislations currently in operation within the UAE. They would like to develop the local capacity for testing centers to qualify products against SRI testing standards. RAKRIC has shown interest to support ADQCC for the development of environmental testing capabilities in alignment with international best practices such as the programs operated by the American and European Cool Roof Councils.
