International Day of Action for Academic Integrity Highlights the Pursuit of Ethical Scholarship

In an earnest endeavor to emphasize the paramount importance of academic integrity, the Office of Academic Integrity and the Department of Student Life at AURAK recently presented the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity. This momentous event, held on Wednesday, October 18th, unfolded at the prestigious Ibn Khaldun Auditorium.
The event kicked off with a compelling opening address by Dr. Alexandria Proff, our esteemed Academic Integrity Officer, who set the tone for the day's discussions.
Distinguished speakers, Dr. Khaled Abdalgader from the School of Engineering and Dr. Sabir Haque from the School of Arts and Sciences, led engaging workshops on various critical aspects of academic integrity. Their insights and expertise were instrumental in fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of maintaining ethical standards in academia.
Dr. Tahseen Arshi from the Business School provided valuable insights and reflections during the closing remarks, leaving attendees with much to ponder about the implications of academic integrity in their academic journeys.
Beyond the informative sessions, the event also provided a unique opportunity for networking, allowing attendees to connect with the speakers and fellow students who share their commitment to upholding academic honesty.
As the event concluded, attendees gathered in the lobby at 2:45 PM to enjoy refreshments, fostering further discussions on the day's themes in a more relaxed setting.
The International Day of Action for Academic Integrity marked a significant stride in fostering a culture of academic honesty and ethical conduct within our academic community. The commitment of our distinguished speakers, along with the active participation of students and organizers, contributed to the resounding success of this meaningful initiative.
