Senior R&D Engineer at RAKRIC delivered a Keynote Lecture at MAHE, Dubai

Dr. Uday Kumar, Senior R&D Engineer at RAK Research and Innovation center was invited by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai to deliver a Keynote lecture on ‘Current Advances in Solar Thermal Energy Technologies and Applications’. The lecture was part of the opening plenary session of 3rd Annual Student Research Colloquium on Advances in Engineering and Information Technology (AEIT) – 2018. The colloquium brought together leading academicians, industrialists, research scholars, scientists, and students from across the world to exchange and share their experiences and research results in computational model & advances in Engineering.

Dr. Uday presented the detailed insight on the renewable energy in general and solar thermal energy generation technologies and applications in specific. He elaborated on the current market situation and their trends, emphasized on the potential of solar thermal electricity generation in GCC. He also elaborated on the various applied research projects of RAKRIC and innovative applications on utilizing solar thermal energy for desalination, cooling and polygeneration. The lecture was well received by the students and the faculty followed up by felicitation of Dr. Uday.
