University of Texas at Arlington
3+2 Program
This partnership provides AURAK students seeking the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with the opportunity to also earn a bachelor’s degree at AURAK and a master’s degree in Computer Science in the United States in just five years instead of a typical six-year time commitment.
Students study full time at AURAK for their first three years and spend year four and year five at University of Texas at Arlington (UT Arlington) working on their master’s degree program. As a part of this unique agreement the courses taken during the first year of the master’s degree at UT Arlington are transferred back to AURAK and used to finish year four of the bachelor’s degree at AURAK. The student then continues to study for one additional year at UT Arlington to earn their master’s degree in Computer Science. Additionally, upon graduation from UT Arlington students can take advantage of the F1-OPT (Optional Practical Training) program. This program currently allows students to work full-time in the USA for three years following graduation from a STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) which is an excellent opportunity to gain practical computer science work experience in the United States.
