Arts and Sciences Hosts Morals Discussion

The School of Arts and Sciences today hosted a discussion on morals and ethics in the Building G multi-purpose room.
Headed by Prof. Kamal Abdel-Malek, Dr. Philipp Dorstewitz and Dr. Kai Bruns, all of whom teach within the school, the discussion was centered on whether or not universities and educators should play a role in inculcating certain ideas within the student body, such as respect, manners and environmental consciousness.
The question of objectivity was also raised and whether education can be truly free from all degrees of bias. Students Amira Al Farra and Asma Malaika also gave short presentations, contributing to the discussion and encouraging debate.
