AURAK Awarded ACCA Accreditation for two undergraduate degree programs
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) recently celebrated another milestone with the announcement that its Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) has been accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
ACCA is an international professional accountancy body aimed at ensuring accountancy as a profession continues to grow in reputation and influence.
After assessing the University’s programs for accreditation, AURAK was granted exemption accreditation by ACCA for four out of the thirteen courses required for the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification, for students who have completed a BSBA Major in Accounting and three out of the thirteen required courses for students who have completed a BSBA Major in Finance.
The accreditation means that graduates of the BS in Business Administration (Accounting) and BS in Business Administration (Finance) programs are eligible for exemptions when taking the professional examinations required for ACCA certification.
Receiving ACCA accreditation is a true testament of the AURAK’s high standards and its mission to offer students higher education of international quality and recognition, resulting in well-trained, knowledgeable professionals after graduation.
Prof. Joseph Wallis, Dean of the School of Business said: “AURAK School of Business is committed to helping its students increase the value of their qualifications by adding a professional certificate to their university degree. The most helpful way of doing this is to apply for exemption accreditation for a specified number of courses from the professional association administering the professional certification.”
This exemption will be offered for graduates who have completed these degrees in the period from 01/01/2022 to 31/12/2026.
