AURAK Discusses GEMS Cooperation
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) this week received a visit from Mr. Lachlan Mackinnon, principal of GEMS Westminster School – Ras Al Khaimah.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) this week received a visit from Mr. Lachlan Mackinnon, principal of GEMS Westminster School – Ras Al Khaimah.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss enhanced cooperation, especially considering the proximity of the two institutions. Mr. Mackinnon met Prof. Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, AURAK president, and Dr. Lee ‘Rusty’ Waller, dean of student services and enrollment management.
Both parties highlighted their eagerness to see AURAK working alongside GEMS Westminster School – Ras Al Khaimah, with Mr. Mackinnon noting the impressive growth of the AURAK campus over the last year.
Prof. Al Alkim stated that service to the local community is embedded in the university’s mission and that he looks forward to developing a close relationship with the school.
