AURAK Honors Top Students at Award Ceremony
As the 2015/16 academic year comes to a close, the American University of Ras Al Khaimah has hosted its annual academic award ceremony, honoring the institution’s top students for their achievements throughout the year. Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim launched the ceremony, which was attended by faculty, staff, and most importantly, AURAK’s top achievers and their proud parents. The AURAK President congratulated the students for their hard work, also recognizing the enormous sacrifice their parents have made for their children to have a university education. Professor Al Alkim also emphasized that the students should not become complacent despite their success, and that they should always strive for more. The awards were handed out by the Provost, Professor John Ryder, and the Deans of the respective schools. Students from each program were awarded based on their cumulative GPA, while additional honors were given for outstanding achievements in the field of research.
