AURAK Hosts Employer Appreciation Breakfast for Industry Partners
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) recently held an Employer Appreciation Breakfast on campus, bringing together 31 industry partners actively provide internships, job placements, and career services for AURAK students.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) recently held an Employer Appreciation Breakfast on campus, bringing together 31 industry partners actively provide internships, job placements, and career services for AURAK students. The event, organized by AURAK’s Alumni and Career Services Department, fostered networking and collaboration among university faculty, students, alumni and industry partners, offering a platform to discuss industry trends and explore future partnerships.
The event kicked off with socializing and networking over breakfast, bringing together industry professionals, students, alumni, and AURAK faculty and staff. This was followed by opening remarks from Mrs. Ghadah Al Kadri, Manager of the Alumni and Career Services Department, who welcomed the guests and wished everyone great success.
AURAK President Dr. David A. Schmidt expressed his gratitude to the industry partners for their commitment to student development. He emphasized the importance of their efforts, describing them as acts of philanthropy and contributions toward building a better future.
“What truly matters is paying it forward. You not only offer mentorship but also dedicate your time to preparing a generation better than ours. This is noble and leaves an impact on students far beyond what you can imagine,” Dr. Schmidt remarked.
Dr. Imad Hoballah, Vice President for Institutional Advancement & External Relations, acknowledged the critical role of industry partners in creating real-world learning environments that foster student growth. He thanked them for their patience, expertise, and the opportunity to expose students to real-life challenges not covered in classrooms.
Mohammed Awad, Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, highlighted the significance of the event as a forum for exchanging ideas and cultivating future collaborations. He expressed appreciation for the invaluable internship and experiential learning opportunities provided to students.
