AURAK Languages and Literature Hosts Poetry Reading
AURAK’s Languages and Literature Department hosted a poetry reading at the AL Maraya Restaurant on the AURAK campus. Dr. Osayimwense Osa, Department Chair, hosted five readers – two students and three faculty members. Students reading included
AURAK’s Languages and Literature Department hosted a poetry reading at the AL Maraya Restaurant on the AURAK campus. Dr. Osayimwense Osa, Department Chair, hosted five readers – two students and three faculty members. Students reading included Ms. Suah Ali (reading Mr. Ahmad Alhomsi’s poem) and Mr. Reggy Ridwan. Faculty readers included Prof. Osayimwense, Prof. Kamal Abdel-Malek and Prof. Larry D. Griffin, all from the Department of Languages and Literature.
John Ryder, Vice President of Academic Affairs at AURAK, attended the reading and said, “It was terrific. Thanks to the Department of Languages and Literature for organizing the reading. I hope you do it again.”
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is an independent co-education institution of Higher Education that provides an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education with a strong focus on local indigenous culture.
