AURAK Launches Video Competition

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah’s Communications and Public Relations Department has announced the university’s first creative video competition for students, with a prize of AED 10,000 to be presented to the winner.

The aim of the competition is to allow students the creative freedom to explain to the public what it means and how it feels to be a student at AURAK.

The below criteria are the only guidelines, and apart from this, students will be granted full freedom in terms of content and how they tell their story.

• Less than four minutes long.
• Content should be original and creative.
• High-definition quality, optimized for YouTube.
• Any music used must be non-copyrighted.
• Emphasize the student experience at AURAK.
• Include shots of the university, but can also include the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
• Include the university name / logo at the beginning and end.

Students who wish to participate must submit the final version of their video to the university by July 20. The Communications and Public Relations Department will then decide the videos which qualify to the final judging stage.

Between July 23 and August 31, the video with the most overall YouTube views will be declared the winner.
