Once again the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) football team has qualified for the Neymar Jr.’s Fives national finals.
Having reached the final stages of the Red Bull-organized tournament every year since its inception, this year was no different for AURAK, as they won the 2017 Ras Al Khaimah finals. They will go on to play in the national finals in Sharjah on April 21.
Perry Fernandes, student life officer for sports, commented, “I am very proud of our record in this tournament. The best five-a-side players from across the country compete, so it is wonderful that we are consistently capable of reaching the final stages and regularly place in the top three in the country. We always want more however, so we hope to go one step further this year.”
