AURAK Receives Visit from H. H. Sheikh Khalid
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) today received a visit from H. H. Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, vice-chairman of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah’s Investment and Development Office.
The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) today received a visit from H. H. Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, vice-chairman of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah’s Investment and Development Office.
Sheikh Khalid met with Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, president of the university, and Mr. Abdullah Al Shahin, vice president for administrative affairs, and was then taken on a tour of the rapidly-developing AURAK campus, able to view first-hand the myriad of changes which have taken place over recent months, including the newly-inaugurated university lawn and general campus beautification.
The party took the time to visit the university’s range of facilities, including the Julphar Biotechnology Lab and Stevin Rock Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Lab. The tour also comprised of Building G, which hosts a number of lecture halls and engineering labs equipped with the latest technology. Sheikh Khalid even visited some classrooms, taking the time to ask students about their experience at AURAK, as well as their ongoing projects.
AURAK is a government-owned institution of higher education and works closely alongside its partners within the Ras Al Khaimah public sector.
