The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) has finalized an agreement with the Local Guard Group, which is a branch of the local Ras Al Khaimah government.
The agreement, which was approved and signed by Prof. Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, president of AURAK, and Staff Brigadier Emran Solaiman Salem Al Shemli, will see the Local Guard Group providing security services throughout the campus, with personnel covering all entrances to the main campus and parking facilities.
Commenting at the signing ceremony, Prof. Al Alkim stated, “This may seem like a relatively simple issue, but top security services are a vital aspect of life on campus. In order to enjoy peace of mind and to fully benefit from the education we offer, a human’s most basic needs should be met first. This agreement ensures that those needs are met through safeguarding each and every person who enters our campus.”
“The university now has a total enrollment of around 1,000 students, while new buildings and facilities are in the process of being constructed. As we continue to grow, it is important that all areas, including security services, also expand to meet the increased demand,” he added.
