AURAK Signs MoU with ICARDA
The American University of Ras al-Khaimah (AURAK) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, at AURAK head offices in Ras Al Khaimah.
The American University of Ras al-Khaimah (AURAK) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas (ICARDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, at AURAK head offices in Ras Al Khaimah.
The agreement pertains to cooperation in areas of mutual interest related to agriculture in dry areas within the Gulf, and particularly within the UAE. It also facilitates the exchange of information, cooperation in areas of research and training, and sharing of intellectual property rights.
Both parties, AURAK and ICARDA, have common goals and expressed their mutual desire to cooperate in agricultural research and human capacity building. AURAK, through its Research and Innovation Center (RAKRIC), and ICARDA have identified potential benefits of this agreement, as they can take the advantage of the complementary skills, experience and capacity of both parties.
Professor Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim, President of AURAK, and Dr. Mahmoud Solh, Director General of ICARDA, signed the agreement.
