AURAK SPE Student Chapter wins 2022 Excellence Award
SPE Student Chapter of AURAK were awarded the 2022 Student Chapter Excellence Award after competing against 400 chapters around the world.
Student Chapter of AURAK were awarded the 2022 Student Chapter Excellence Award after competing against 400 chapters around the world.
This year’s award highlighted several categories and criteria including industry engagement, operations and planning, community involvement, professional development and innovation.
The chapter consisting of 33 members from chemical and petroleum engineering department under the supervision of Dr. Saad Balhasan, Assistant Professor in Petroleum Engineering, succeeded in fulfilling the mission of the SPE by promoting the exchange of technical and professional knowledge. Furthermore, the initiative included organizing field trips, training, special programs, internships and community endeavors in order to connect students with professionals in the oil and gas sector.
The SPE Student Chapter successfully achieved this accomplishment led by Prashveen Prasad, Chapter President; Sumaiya Omar Mussa, Vice President; Twamaa Hababuu Makame, Secretary; Josephine Lamboi, Social Activities Chair and Awadh Hamad, Treasurer.
