Film Making workshop for AURAK Mass Communication Students

A workshop entitled “It Always Starts with a Beginning - Middle - and an End: Techniques for developing a long format research based story in a digital world” was organized on October 3, 2019 in the premises of the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research.

A workshop entitled “It Always Starts with a Beginning - Middle - and an End: Techniques for developing a long format research based story in a digital world” was organized on October 3, 2019 in the premises of the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research.

Mass Communication students had the opportunity to meet Becky Beamer, recipient of a Film Grant from Al Qasimi Foundation. This time as a presenter, Becky Beamer guided the students through the stages of building a short video - starting with the importance of the Storytelling,  Adding Text and Still Images to the Story, Building An In-depth Story and Message from a Short Video using Experts, Podcasting, Websites and Social Media. 

Constructive discussion among students about the challenges and creativity of filmmaking ended with an exchange of ideas as a further challenge for Mass Communication students.
