Innovative Education through Technology
As AURAK continues to participate in UAE Innovation Week 2015, a second day or workshops was held at the University, today entitled ‘Innovative Education through Technology’.
As AURAK continues to participate in UAE Innovation Week 2015, a second day or workshops was held at the University, today entitled ‘Innovative Education through Technology’.
The interactive workshop was hosted by the School of Engineering in Building B, across several sessions. Dr. Said Elnaffar began, delivering a lecture on how to create a mobile phone application using ‘App Inventor’, developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Faculty, staff and students all took part, and by the end of the lecture, had created their own, simple, mobile applications.
Dr. Abdul Halim Jallad, Dr. Mohamed Awad and Ms. Shereen Ismail then delivered a workshop on programming robots to perform simple tasks. They also highlighted the continuous development of education thanks to innovative technology.
Several students attended and participated in the workshop, as well as faculty members and staff, all of whom were eager to learn about topics which are not necessarily related to their own fields of study.
