Faculty and students engaged in discussing issues related to academic integrity, and spreading awareness of the negative impact of academic dishonesty.
The day started off with an interactive session facilitated by Academic Integrity Officer, Dr. Alexandria Proff and SGA President, Ms. Urita Abdelmasih. An engaging Student-Faculty Panel followed and featured representatives from all AURAK schools. Dr. Sharon Waller, from the School of Arts and Sciences, moderated the session. The Panel featured Dr. Tahseen Arshi, from the School of Business, and Dr. Fayez Moutassem from the School of Engineering, who shared their perspectives on building healthy learning environments and fostering authenticity in the classroom.
Student Panelists included, Ms. Maram Mahmoud, a senior in Mass Communication from the School of Arts and Sciences; Mr. Jaber Aljasim, a senior in Marketing from the School of Business; and Ms. Ifaadat Taqfiq, a sophomore in Civil Engineering from the School of Engineering. Guests attending the event stopped by the Photo Booth to capture their individual perspectives on academic integrity, and all AURAK students are invited to participate in the Create a Meme Competition! In the spirit of knowledge sharing, students will compete in creating memes on issues related to Academic Integrity. The top three submissions will be featured across all campus screens during Final Exams and the three winners will receive Amazon Gift Cards. The deadline for submission is on May 3rd, and winners will be announced on May 5th.
