Ms. Jill Manoukian today delivered an interactive workshop relating to critical thinking and problem solving within the framework of cultural understanding.
The workshop is the first in a series of events taking place this week, organized by the Center for Teaching, Learning and Instructional Technology, promoting the university’s General Education program.
Ms. Jill’s talk examined how the logical structure of essays and thinking patterns can differ from culture to culture, and the implications that this can have. She emphasized how cultural understanding is becoming increasingly important in today’s globalized world. The session was concluded with a student-made video, celebrating the multicultural and multilingual nature of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah.
